Some of our duties include:

  • Providing networking opportunities for Black graduate students at USC with various individuals, professional organizations, agencies, and institutions that serve Black students
  • Promoting and assisting with the recruitment and retention of a diverse student and faculty population at USC
  • Facilitate and encourage the exchange of information pertinent to academic and professional issues between colleges, schools, departments and ethnic groups within USC
  • BGSA is dedicated to collaborating with community organizations to improve the overall status of students within USC and outside communities.

We would like to thank Dr. Todd Shaw, Political Science professor here at USC for being our advisor.
