NashiCon 2010: History

This year will be NashiCon's third year! We've grown from a small, one-day convention of a little over 200 people and sparse programming to a two-day convention packed with panels, events, and a lot more!

Date: Saturday 12, April 2008
Attendees: 227
Hours: 10am to 7pm
Our first year of NashiCon featured a (very) small artist's alley, no dealers, two viewing rooms, two small game rooms, and a handful of panels split between two small panel rooms. We also had a very small costume contest with "prizes" that left a lot to be desired, but we also handed out a (very limited) supply of free food to attendees. The convention was only for one day and was held in the Gambrell classroom building. We certainly have learned a lot from our first year!

Date: Saturday, April 11th 2009
Attendees: 520+
Hours: 10am to 10pm
Our second year of NashiCon was held in the Russel House, a three story building much more suited for holding a convention! This year we had a much bigger artist's alley and four local Dealers. Our viewing room was in a large theatre with a big screen! We had a ton of programming including panels, anime screenings and several main events - a much bigger, better costume contest, a life-sized board game, a maid café, and more! We also had our first two guests.

What's going to happen this year? We'll find out in April!
