About Us

Cocktails, the University of South Carolina's first and only female a cappella group, was formed in 2002 and has been on the rise ever since. Student-founded, student-organized, and student-led, the group quickly solidified into a troupe of talented and dedicated musicians determined to develop and expand musically while simultaneously having a blast. Since 2002, Cocktails has performed at a number of venues around the USC campus and the Columbia area, and also around the Southeast. Although they are fairly new to the college a cappella scene, they are determined this won't be the last time you hear the name Cocktails.

thank you's:

All of you who've supported us and helped us along the way. Thanks to those who have invited us to sing, and especially thanks to all our family and friends, especially our fan club. Thanks to President Sorensen for his love of a cappella music, and to Dr. Keen Butterworth for his support and advisement.

A special thanks goes out to Dr. Mark Laughlin. Without your support, advice, yo momma jokes, and helpful critiques, we would not be as far as we are right now. We know we have a ways to go, but the road would be a lot longer if we didn't have your help. Thanks again for taking time out of your busy schedule to come and help us. It's not easy being in a room with 17 girls at one time.
