New member packets are HERE!!!!. Please ask for yours at any member meeting. However, lapel pins and pencils are still on back-order.

If you don't see your name under the members tab or your name is spelled wrong, please e-mail Cat to get that fixed.

Points:
More information on requirements can be found on the Forms & Guidelines tab. If you are missing meeting hours, you can make those up with community service hours. Points are calculated on a semester basis. However, it is possible to make up points during the next semester. If your points are not up to date by the end of the year, you won't be invited to attend our year-end fairwell dinner at California Dreaming.

Dues:
Your dues of $15.00 are due each spring during our annual membership drive.
- Make Checks Payable to Gamma Beta Phi.
- Contact Preston to submit your dues.
- If you pay by cash please enclose in an envelope with your name on the outside.
- If you were JUST inducted in spring of '09, you are covered until next spring.

We still have quite a few members that have not paid induction dues or yearly dues. You will be expected to pay those to remain in good standing.

SENIORS:
Do you need honor stoles or cords? If so, please tell us so that we can have them ready for your graduation day!!! These are very beautiful items and will complete your graduation memories. Make Checks Payable to Gamma Beta Phi.
- Contact Sarah to order and submit payment.
- Cords are $12.50 and stoles are $18.00.
- If you pay by cash please enclose in an envelope with your name on the outside.
- Deadline for spring graduation is April 1st.

Have Pictures?
If you have taken pictures at any activity or service event, please e-mail them to Cat. We would like to put them in our scrap book and on the Web site ASAP!

Do you have your T-shirt yet???
-The cost is $13.00. The sizes are adult S, M, L and XL.
-Contact Preston at any meeting if you wish to purchase one.

GBP listserv & Blackboard:
We are converting from the traditional listserv to the Blackboard format. It is easier for us to keep up with you and for you to keep up with us.

You can also keep up with your points easier on Blackboard. You should see us listed under the "My Organizations" tab in Blackboard. If you don't, please let Cat know so that you can be added.

If you are unsure which officer to contact about an issue, you can always send an e-mail here: SOGBPHI@mailbox.sc.edu. This is our general mailbox and someone will get back to you.

Other Service Opportunities :
For those of you interested in service opportunites outside of GBP, we recommend Rolling Readers. There is an application process and some minimal training. It is very rewarding. You will be placed in a school that really needs you. You only have to donate one hour of your time a week to read to deserving children! And YES, if you do this, we will count it toward your service points. Just think, you could knock out all your service points while doing something you really loved!
